Mengukuh Kerjasama Komuniti Jaga Keselamatan

Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kemajuan Kampung (JKKK) Taman Rejang dipilih sebagai JKKK pertama di Sarawak yang menerima pelan tindakan tersebut bersempena dengan penganjuran Program Khidmat Keselamatan Komuniti dan Program Semangat Komuniti MADANI di Taman Lalu Lintas Taman Rejang, Sibu.

Secara asasnya, Pelan Tindakan Keselamatan Komuniti merupakan satu dokumen yang dijadikan sebagai garis panduan untuk JKKK dan Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) mengetahui tindakan sewajarnya yang perlu diambil sekiranya berlaku bencana.

Timbalan Menteri Kesihatan Awam, Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan Sarawak, YB Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee yang melancarkan dokumen tersebut pada 29 Jun 2024 menyeru komuniti supaya bersama-sama menjaga keselamatan di kawasan kediaman masing-masing.

Beliau juga menasihatkan orang ramai supaya melaporkan kepada pihak berkuasa jika sebarang aktiviti yang mencurigakan dikesan termasuklah faktor yang boleh mengancam keselamatan di sesebuah kejiranan.
