Baik Pulih Sekolah Demi Suasana Belajar Lebih Selesa

Peruntukan besar wajar diberikan bukan sahaja untuk meningkatkan infrastruktur dan kemudahan di semua sekolah mahupun membina sekolah-sekolah baharu malah untuk menggantikan sekolah usang kerana dengan cara ini, ia dapat mewujudkan suasana pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang lebih selesa

Oleh kerana itu, Kerajaan Sarawak berharap agar Kerajaan Persekutuan melalui Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) terus memberi keutamaan dalam usaha-usaha hendak menambah baik ataupun menaik taraf sekolah-sekolah daif yang sedia ada di Sarawak.

Usaha ini amat penting memandangkan kebanyakan bangunan sekolah di negeri ini berada dalam keadaan agak daif dan bangunan lama masih banyak dibina daripada struktur kayu. 

Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak Ke-19, isu mengenai sekolah usang di Sarawak telah dibangkitkan.

Beliau mendedahkan, sebanyak 198 buah sekolah yang terlibat dalam projek baik pulih dan naik taraf di bawah biayaan Kerajaan Sarawak selesai, manakala 309 sekolah masih dalam proses pelaksanaan.

Jelas beliau, jumlah tersebut merupakan pembabitan terkini sekolah-sekolah yang terlibat dalam projek naik taraf dan penambahbaikan.
